My name is Giorgio Bertolone and I work in the movie industry as Head of Rigging. I have dual citizenship (Canadian and Italian) and I am legally authorized to work in Canada and Europe. I have technical and managing skills and I specialize in Department / Team Supervision, Rigging, Scripting and Tool Development. Working for movies and TV has always been my passion and I feel very lucky everyday for having such a wonderful and challenging profession.
I was born in Italy and I grew up living in Turin and Rome. Since childhood I was inspired by the beautiful artworks of my homeland and my classical studies are a very important part of my development as an artist. After graduating in Graphic & Virtual Design I oriented myself in modern forms of art and I discovered my passion for Visual Effects.
I then moved to Canada and studied 3D at the Vancouver Film School. Soon after getting my diploma I received a job offer and experienced for the first time the joy of being paid to do what you love. Even now, after many years in different studios, I still have that joy and the same passion of when I started.
I currently live in Vancouver but I love to travel and explore the world. In my free time I am usually at the helm of “Ladyhawke”, my sailing yacht.
